Field Experience

In order to be part of Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar Inc., high school students are required to commit to a positive summer experience. Our Academic Coordinators assist them in finding summer enrichment programs in different colleges as well as employment. We often provide tuition for programs to which the students apply, and additionally seek scholarship opportunities to get as many of our students involved as possible. Some examples of programs which students have attended are: Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth College (SEAD); Upward Bound, a six week science and math program at the State University of New York at Buffalo; and Camp College programs at Union College in Schenectady, and Manhattan College, New York.
